Rodent Sheriff REVIEW

A reviewer of Rodent Sheriff, Deborah, states that it has a very strong odor that made her gasp and caused coughing like she had inhaled the spray. She wanted to use it in her kitchen cabinets but wasn’t sure if it was safe around where the food is stored.

Another user Besty Roberts found the spray very effective and writes in her review that it works very well outdoors. She is pestered by raccoons and uses Rodent Sheriff around her trash bin. She applies the spray on the trash bags when she has to throw more garbage in.

Virginia Cross writes that she ordered her bottle of Rodent Sheriff but cannot contact the customer care to know about her order status but couldn’t reach them. She adds that the website has mentioned three different numbers for three different mail order sites and none of these three sites know where her order is.

Another reviewer Jenny has a similar issue. She writes that the website of Rodent Sheriff is not available and the customer care service is unavailable to answer the phone, too. Even when they do answer, they ask for information on email, which Jenny suspects wouldn’t yield any results.

One user of the rodent repellent, Tanisha, says that the spray doesn’t work at all. She sprayed it on her floor but still found a mouse running clear. Another reviewer Terry writes that though the spray claims that the smell will stay for a long time it would probably disappear once it rains outside.

Yes complete rip off. Ordered on Sunday. Tried to cancel on Monday. No reply to email. Called Tuesday — “too late it’s been shipped.” Right. Really means “we created a label and are pretending it has shipped.”– even though it will take 2-3 to get there by Fedex. Sure something in Fedex’s hands takes two weeks to get from Wisconsin to Florida. I can send it back minus shipping. What a joke.

  5. Sheila schwering says:

Rodent sheriff is as worthless as tots on a boar. The Raccoons laughed at me as they continued to eat my cats food. They looked at me like “Hey thanks for the air fresher.” Don’t buy unless you like throwing your money away. I am one very angry customer, I bought four bottles at one time. Went through three in a week. NEVER AGAIN!

I need something too kill Roaches and Bed Bugs. Have a renter bring these in. Will it work on them.

    • Melissa says:

I have been using the 70% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol winter green with methyl salicylate to kill bed bugs you have to spay ether everyday or once a week. It’s safe with children and pets but it does smell make you have Windows open and air on. I never tried it on rouches so I don’t know if it’ll kill them it does kill bed bugs though.

  8. Tracy Smith says:

Although I put in my info to purchase this product, I backed out only for them to continue on their own and charge my back account. The offer was $17.95 for 1 or $19.95 for 2. then 4 for $37.95. I started to purchase but I backed out of it. they charged my account for only 1, if that was the case I would have gotten the 2 for $2 more. I’m pissed that they did that and I will complain on every social media about what they did unless they return my money back to my account. They had a nerve to tell me I can return it but I would only receive $10. I’m not hearing that because I, myself never completed the order.

  9. Delores Hayes says:

Truer words were never spoken. I have coughed so much from the smell of Rodent Sheriff. What a strong smell!!!!! I am sorry that I didn’t read the reviews first.

  10. Flora Arnold says:

Rodent sheriff claim to have a pleasant odor and is safe around kids and pets. I sprayed it in my kitchen around the baseboards and the spray made me cough even though I had walked away from the area. I find it hard to believe it’s safe .

  11. Allison MacLaren says:

I wish I saw this before I bought this! It Does not work!!! This is a scam!!!

  12. Liza says:

The only thing that will get rid of these pest is just one bite I don’t know if anywhere else sell it, I bought it from amazon, it comes in blocks, I cut it up in small pieces and put the pieces in shoe box cover, when they eat it, it starts drying them out so there isn’t any smell this thing really works.

  13. Barbara says:

How often do you have to spray and after you spray how long is it effective?

  14. Debbie says:

Comet Cleanser works amazing on ants. I would imagine other crawling bugs. Years ago I was at my wits end after using tons of commercial stuff and homeopathic too. Then someone told me that Comet. Indoors sprinkle lightly between cabinets, sweep some under fridge, entry points. Outside go all around the perimeter of your house. I use a heavy hand under my and around front stairs and deck, and a lighter hand in places where my dog can come into direct contact. Repeat as needed. Nothing works overnight. And Comet is only about $1. When you don’t see them indoors (2 weeks maybe), then just sprinkle outdoors. Mothballs work great for outside for critters. Very poisonous to kids, and our pets so I’d tie off my little packets higher on fences, trees and stuff. Use a lightweight material like pantyhose, pieces of sheer scarf mesh. I hope this helps so everyone can have a great summer.

    • mary Ann says:

Cinnamon works well for ants and is safer than using chemicals . I give you this suggestion in case you may have little ones or animals. naturally it wouldnt work well outside. This was something my grandmother told me about . when they didnt have all this harmful stuff they have now. Have a good day. I noticed that the write up on rodent sheriff by a customer says S/H was 15$. I paid 7.95 for 2 bottles than up graded to 4 bottles with same price of 7.95. I am just putting that out there of what I paid.

  15. EL says:

OMG!!!!! Like another customer said, glad I looked at the ViEws B4 ordering. I have a two yr. old and I can’t take the
chance of anything harming my little one. Well, guess a lost
a cutie, B4 ya had the opportunity to get my $$$$..SEE ya

  16. Robert says:

I was exterminater in 1970s and been dealing with pests ever since. I do know that pests are reluctant to give up their home, Just like us.
You have to eliminate their means of entry with things like steel wool and screens. Then you have to eliminate the pests and clean the areas where they entered and lived to eliminate the smells they are attracted to. Using repellents will help a lot with keeping new infestations away

    • Jackie Curry says:

DOES NOT WORK!!!!! Still have ants and frogs in and around my very small flower garden! I wasted 2 whole bottles with NO results! I purchased some small ant planters at my local grocery store for less money and it works wonders!

      • Tonya says:

You are right it does not work!! I’ve gone through 4 bottles
You have to spay to often, scent doesn’t last long. The nozzle is awful, while spraying it gets on your hand. Also the nozzle stops working. WASTE OF MONEY. Just invest in some peppermint oil.

I have raccoons that eat the cat food I keep on my deck for the stray cats.I sprayed Rodent Sheriff directly onto the cat food and within fifteen minutes two raccoons where eating the cat food I had just sprayed with Rodent Sheriff. I don’t know how anyone can say this will keep pests away when they walk right up and eat the food that had the spray right on it. And I doused it with Rodent Sheriff. They still ate it. B.S.

  22. Khadija says:

Well I bought rodent spray for my apartment bc I have a problem with mice, however after using rodent sheriff for 2 months still have a rodent problem. So I’m still trying to see what’s so great about rodent sheriff.

      • Ron Fernberg says:

Hi, I live in Long Beach, Ca., I bought Rodent Sherrif, I don’t know if it works or not, but, I live in a motel, basically run by Indian (from India) Slumlords & a couple few years ago, they had a plumber of sorts, bang BIG holes in my bathroom wall, near my sink where I wash up, said they were looking for roof leaks, turned out, they weren’t coming from my room & they never plugged up the
Holes & afterwards I found myself killing multiple mice, with traps that look like tiger teeth & the old fashioned ones but, got my fingers caught too many times in them! I’ve lived here for 14.7 years & am trying to get out of here but, at 76, crippled up it seems like I’m at their mercy & am living off a very small social security check &( my rent takes 70 percent of my check) it’s hard to do! Would I have any recourse in small claims court? I also almost lost my left leg about 7-8 years ago from bed bug bites that got infected badly! I have diabetes, they kept promising me they will fix the holes & get rid of the bed bugs, but, they never have! I like them, but, sometimes I feel like they are just waiting for me to die to get my room, fix it up & say NEXT! I know that’s crass, but, any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

How does this product affect dogs? I’m thinking they won’t like it anymore than the raccoons.

  24. Brian says:

I like to thank everyone who explained their experience with this product, all of u had definitely saved me time, money and hours of coughing from this product

  25. keith W says:

Worked for me! Yes, it does smell strong when sprayed in the house but much better than the nasty poisons.

  26. linda says:

I don’t understand what everyone is talking about. The Rodent Sheriff works well for me. Yes, It has a harsh smell and will make you cough but, the results are good. I just cover up my nose and mouth with one hand and spray with the other. I have to spray at least every 5 to 7 days but, to me it is worth it. I have not seen any mice. I know it is only a temporary fit and will have to have my old fifties basement ceiling finished with the hanging wires and wood beams, but until I can do that I’ll take what I can get. Everything else I’ve brought does not work as well. It’s cheap and I think it may be worth a chance.

  27. Qiunch says:

I brought this product it didn’t work at all..i had a mice in my closet i spray the product and he did not run out at all it had me and my 7 month old coughing for a while..then one day my mother uses it and it had her coughing too..i have to return this item because its a big rip off…i have to go back my natural peppermint oil

  28. Kevin says:

Peppermint will repel pest, but it would be more beneficial to purchase a very good quality peppermint essential oil and but a few drops on some cotton balls and place them in the spaces where you have a problem with pest. Essential oils are completely safe and have great health benefits for humans as well.

  29. Margie says:

Isn’t the internet great? You can always check customer reviews before you decide to purchase a product, and this keeps you from buying so much junk.

    • ANGELA says:

yes, I am so thankful I seen these reviews. I was just about to order some of the rodent sheriff. thanks to everyone who made a comment. I see some people had a good experience with it but most people did not. out of 24 comments only 3 like it and said it worked, so I am not going to buy it. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  30. paula queen says:

this product does not work as claimed I have mice in my mobile home and every time I spayed the product seems like it attracted the mice they claim to have a 30 day satisfaction guarantee I guess i’ll try to return it if it doesn’t cost too much for me to send it back

    • Stannous Flouride says:

The best strategy is to create barriers to keep them out. Rodents are VERY clever so you may have to alter them from time to time. Buy some steel wool and ask for a paint stir stick and push into any opening that you can get a finger into. Especially around plumbing where there are often gaps.
(It hurts their mouths to chew it)
Make sure you have door sweeps under every door to the outside. If they can get their head through a space they can squeeze their whole body through.

    • Liza says:

I bought this poison form amazon the name of it is just one bite it is great, it comes in blocks, I cut it in small pieces and set it on a shoe box cover, put in my house also my garage they love it when they eat it right away it start to dry them out so there is no smell. 34. Shirley King says:

I just sprayed Rodent Sheriff in my house yesterday and just a few minutes ago I saw a mice run right over the place I sprayed. It is very, very strong I coughed like I had the flu for three hours. I even had a mask on. I need to know, how long will it take for mice to move out? Today I don’t even smell it so how long does it last? Seems like only the time it’s sprayed. It makes me feel as though I’ve just spent money for something I could have used on stuff from Wal Mart. I will expect true answers from you all ASAP.

  35. Merle Roberts says:

I live in the desert and we see all sorts of critters and insects around our house and yard. i just starting using rodent sheriff in the most used entrance areas and normal trouble spots and it really seems to work. You do have to keep reapplying often for best results.

  36. Roxanne Murphy says:

Is it effective against an infestation of roaches?

    • Carol Smith says:

No Roxanne I am not sure about that but, find a lowes near you and try diatomaceous earth. You have to get the food grade kind because the other is very toxic. I tried it when I lived in Greeley Colorado and it works very well, it also works on bedbugs. good luck Carol

    • Stannous Flouride says:

There’s an old school borax product called Roach Pruf that is boric acid, a powder that roaches and ants will not cross. It’s available at most hardware stores and non-toxic.

      • Lin says:

Boric acid is highly TOXIC if ingested so I wouldn’t use in the kitchen or around pets or kids. Effective against ants. Used to be used as eye wash ingredient and antiseptic, I think.

    • Maria White says:

A product called Gold Bengal Roach spray works awesome on roaches spiders u name it any kind if crawling insect. And I promise you it will help with Roach infestation. I’m not sure where you are from but you may google it and see where you can buy it in your area. It also works on Ladybugs that how I discovered it. I’m highly allergic to the ladybugs so I reached til I found this product and its pretty awesome. A little expensive but to me its worth every penny of it. Try it and.let me know think. Wish it would take care if the mice and critters outside to but it doesn’t. Sorry.

    • david says:

Order some Advion cockroach bait from DuPont. You can order it from Amazon I think. It came in 4 cartriges and it cost about $30 dollars, but it worked. The roaches don’t die instantly; they stay alive awhile after ingiesting Advion, but they become toxic after they die to other roaches.

  37. Tanisha says:

Does not work I just a mouse run clear across my floor and isprayed.

  38. Terry says:

I’m glad I did not order

    • paula queen says:

terry I made the mistake of not checking reviews so they got me, I tried to get my money back but I have to send product back to them at the cost of $8.95 I payed a total of $17.95 the will only refund me $10.00 so I’m just eating that lesson. 🙁

  39. Deborah says:

I am finding mouse or rat droppings in my bathroom cabinet so I bought a bottle of Rodent Sheriff from Walmart to try. I have not sprayed it anywhere else in my house but when I removed everything out of the bathroom cabinets and used the spray the odor was very strong and took my breath away. I started coughing and felt like I was inhaling it. I need to spray some in my kitchen cabinets just to make sure they don’t get into my food but I’m not sure if I can use this product where food is stored. I have not read anything on this product that mentions using it around food in kitchen cabinets. I just moved into a home that was built in 1952 and it sits up off the ground. Wires, pipes, etc. can get under the house to set up their home. There are several openings around the house.

  40. Deborah says:

Can rodent sheriff be used in kitchen cabinets where boxes of cereal and other food is stored?

  41. Besty Roberts says:

Works really well outside around my trash bins. Those raccoons have been driving me crazy. I apply to the outside of my trash bag and the outside of the trash bin every time i toss more garbage in.

  42. terry says:

Rodent Sheriff claims smell stays for a long time. Perhaps indoors, but what about outdoors? what about when it rains…smell disappears, right?

  43. virginia cross says:

I place an order and I cannot contact rodent sheriff to see what the status is. When searching for them on the web site they list 3 telephone numbers for 3 different mail order sites. Not one of these sites knows anything about rodent sheriff.

    • Belle says:

You can track it to delivery. I ordered rodent sheriff and received an email from them confirming the order. In the email they also gave me a tracking code to use to track the product once it leaves their warehouse. So I was able to track its location to when it arrived to my city.

  44. jenny says:

The website isn’t available, not to mention you can’t get customer service to answer the phone about your order or even do the information they asked for on a email. I’m starting to think this is a rip off!!!!
